I have had a mild frustration for quite some time now that has grown into a significant headache. Every time that I search for some one in Skype for Business (Ofiice 16.0.8730.2127), the results provided are non-matching personal contacts, followed by the expected results of the search. I'm not sure how those personal contacts got there as I do not recall ever sharing contacts with SfB on my phone, and, additionally, when I run the same search on my phone, I do not see the personal contacts, only the business contacts that I would expect to see on the Windows 10 application.
Right-clicking on the contacts in the search does not provide an option to delete them.
I removed the personal contacts that somehow were added to Outlook, but these were not the ones showing up in SfB.
I closed Outlook, exited Skype for Business then deleted %localappdata%MicrosoftOffice16.0Lyncsip_<username> and all contents of %localappdata%MicrosoftOffice16.0LyncTracing, restarted Skype for Business and the contacts remain.
I will talk to my SysAdmin about updating Office for me to see if that will resolve the issue, but I don't see how it could.
Any suggestions would be appreciated immensely as this is driving me nuts!
